SAN DIEGO – While President Trump visits his border wall prototypes in Otay Mesa on Tuesday, the ACLU of San Diego and Imperial Counties will join faith leaders and elected officials to reject his cruel anti-immigrant agenda at 12 pm in San Ysidro.
The ACLU of San Diego will use Tuesday’s event to send a clear message to President Trump during his visit: Neither the United States, California, nor our local communities need this costly and divisive wall. What we need is action to ensure DACA recipients and their families are safe from deportation. Trump created this crisis and he should fix it.
This is the first event on the ground that is part of the ACLU’s national campaign targeting Trump to take executive action to protect Dreamers. The campaign includes multiple six-figure advertising buys focusing on Trump. A 30-second video spot speaking to Trump directly will air during Fox & Friends, his favorite show, in Washington, D.C. this week.
