The ACLU Foundation of San Diego and Imperial Counties (ACLUF-SDIC) seeks to contract with motivated and outgoing individuals to join our voter engagement program as phone bankers. This will be a non-partisan effort to engage ACLU members around the importance of The Affordable Housing Act – Proposition 10. Phone bankers will talk over the phone with voters and ACLU members throughout San Diego County.

Contract Position Field Canvassers
The Costa-Hawkins Law has prevented local communities from passing rent control measures to curb skyrocketing housing costs in California since 1995. Rising rent costs disproportionately affect immigrants, people of color, working class, and disabled folks in our communities. This is a civil rights issue. Passing Prop 10 would give local communities the tools they need to address the rising costs of housing.

This is a part-time, temporary contract position that runs through November 6, 2018. Phone Bankers will work 10-15 hours per week, during evenings and weekends under the direction of an ACLU Organizer. Individuals impacted by the criminal justice system, or formerly incarcerated individuals are encouraged to apply.
